Fantastic Sunday lunch, great atmosphere
Arrived at the Chichester Arms on Sunday for an impromptu lunch with friends and was extremely pleased with both the quality of food and atmosphere within the pub. Staff were friendly and attentive and food arrived on time. We will definitely be returning soon! Thank you!
Fantastic Sunday dinner, very polite staff!!
5 of us came for our Sunday dinner and we could not have picked a better place! The atmosphere was very inviting, all of the staff were very polite from start to finish and the food was as incredible as always!! I can’t recommend the Chichester Arms enough!
The BEST food I’ve ever had!
Cant beat proper home cook food, certainly the best I’ve tasted in a very long time. Cant beat the beef strips in horseradish sauce totally amazing!

Perfect visit
You know as soon as you walk in that you have hit gold with this one. 15th century building with an open log fire and a buzzy atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and we were well looked after. All the food is home made and amaaaaaazing! We had faggots and Thai fish cakes. Lots to eat and very good quality. The wine is only £12.95 a bottle and good quality. Can’t recommend this highly enough. Thank you for a great night.
Best pub grub in North Devon!
I come here often with friends and it never disappoints – it’s our go to place for delicious pub grub.
The menu is varied and the specials are always good and seasonal too which is nice to see. More often than not I go for the home made steak and ale pie which is exceptional. The prices are fair for the portion sizes – every meal I’ve ever seen brought out at the chich is enormous in portion size so you certainly get what you pay for.
They have good beers on tap too which is always a bonus. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would recommend to all, long live the chich!
Really Impressive!
We had lunch at the Chichester Arms today. Did not disappoint. We were very impressed with their COVID precautions, best I’ve seen so far. Food was fabulous, as always! Can’t wait to visit again.
